About the author:
Michael Shellenberger is a strategist for foundations, organizations and political candidates. He is Executive Director of the Breakthrough Institute (http://www.TheBreakthrough.org), an organization advancing strategic initiatives to build a progressive majority, and President of Lumina Strategies (http://www.LuminaStrategies.com), a political consulting firm.
